Local author Willie Whelan visits Kilrossanty NS for World Book Day 2024.

Willie Whelan came to visit our school today for world book day. Willie has Co-authored and produced several historical books, the most recent being ‘A Photographic History of Dungarvan’.  

Pupils have really enjoyed using this book to take a look at what Dungarvan was like in the past. Willie enthralled pupils with stories from his work and his love and passion for history was very evident. He impressed upon pupils how important it is to work at something you love in life.  

We thank him for taking the time to visit us in Kilrossanty NS and who knows he may have inspired some budding historians and authors in the future.
