During Seachtain na Gaeilge we have been practicing our dancing and preparing for a whole school céilí. Students from infants to sixth took part and all students had great fun
We were treated to a traditional Irish music session for Seachtain na Gaeilge from pupils who are learning how to play the concertina, fiddle and mandolin on Tuesdays after school with Muireann. All classes enjoyed a taispeántas
January 2024: Dance
Our JI-2nd class children are taking part in Dance classes every Thursday for Jan/Feb. They are really enjoying them!
September 2023: Music Generation
We are very lucky to be working with Music Generation again this year.
Teachers from Music Generation will be in our school every week until next May.
During this time our 3rd-6th classes will be learning the Ukulele while JI-2nd class will be participating in their 'Musical Beginnings' Program.
June 2023:
4th - 6th classes took part in the 'Summer in the city' Ukulele concert in Waterford, rounding up a fantastic year learning the ukulele with Music Generation.
June 2023: 2nd class visited the Discover Opera workshop in Lismore Castle as part of the Blackwater Opera Festival and in conjunction with Music Genreation Waterford.
